The North of Superior Healthcare Group is comprised of:
•Wilson Memorial General Hospital in Marathon, ON, a beautiful rural community on Lake Superior
•The McCausland Hospital in Terrace Bay, ON is a recently expanded 45-bed rural Hospital, that provides service in acute, chronic and long term care, and serves a diverse population of approximately 3,500 residents. The Hospital, through a full complement of Family Physicians and other Allied Health Practitioners, provides 24-hour Emergency Services, and offers comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services. Located along the beautiful North shores of Lake Superior, the communities of Terrace Bay and Schreiber offer a relaxed lifestyle, an abundance of outdoor recreational activities, and a comprehensive community infrastructure that supports and promotes clean, healthy living and a comfortable work-life balance.
The two sites officially amalgamated on April 1st, 2016.
Marathon is a town in the Canadian province of Ontario, located in Thunder Bay District, on the north shore of Lake Superior north of Pukaskwa National Park, in the heart of the Canadian Shield. It's population is estimated to be approximately 3138 based on the 2021 census data.
