A new upcoming clinic invites applications for part-time and full-time positions for general practitioners and specialists. This is a unique opportunity to build a new urgent care and multidisciplinary practice in the heart of North York. 

  • High traffic area within 5 minutes of a hospital and highway 401 
  • Located in a medical building with existing healthcare services (e.g., diagnostic imaging, lab and pharmacy)
  • Adequate access to public transit and on-site parking; bus stop in front of building

The clinic is currently undergoing renovations with an expected start date of May 2024.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide client-centric, comprehensive primary medical care to all patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up; counselling, screening, referral, and client education
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain high quality and consistent patient care, and manage urgent patient matters in a timely manner 
  • Maintain complete and accurate client records, assessment notes and required correspondence; ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information (to be primarily managed by office manager and receptionists)
  • Participate in implementation of initiatives to accelerate path to achieving organizational goals that ensure access to timely and high quality healthcare services
  • Ensure that infection control policies and procedures are followed

Qualifications:
  • Degree in medicine from a recognized school or faculty of medicine
  • Current license to practice medicine from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Successful completion of a two-year post graduate residency program accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and an active member of the College
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with clients in a culturally-diverse practice
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, problem-solving, conflict management and time management skills
  • Proficiency in the use of computers, Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records
