New full-time permanent position of nurse practitioner

Équipe de santé familiale Nord-Aski Family Health Team (ÉSFNAFHT) is looking for a person that is dynamic, organized, punctual, reliable, and discreet to occupy a new full-time permanent position of nurse practitioner within the primary care agency. Under the supervision of ÉSFNAFHT's executive director, this individual works closely with physicians and interdisciplinary health providers to achieve the organization's strategies that aim to increase access to primary care for target populations identified by Ontario Health. The employee's duties are performed in accordance with the standards of practice that govern the profession of nurse practitioner.
Overview of responsibilities

• Providing primary health care in a community clinic setting:

• Travel to site of partnering organizations;

• Contribution to the development of new priority community services.

• University degree for nurse practitioners;

• Member in good standing in the extended class of the College of Nurses of Ontario;

• Experience with the running of a medical centre or with the use of an EMR.

• Strong team spirit and interpersonal skills;

• Excellent capacity to keep records up to date and to prioritize between tasks;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both official languages;

• Capacity to adapt to a new and constantly evolving work environment;

• Knowledge of current and emerging practices in primary care delivery with emphasis on prevention, self-management, and risk reduction;

• Autonomy, demeanour, trust, respect, discretion, and confidentiality.

Compensation package: $132,893 to $149,668

Retirement plan: membership in HOOPP
