· Rate of pay: Between $48.21 per hour and $64.50 per hour

Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for developing and/or revising the department's statement of purpose; setting goals and objectives; establishing and maintaining an efficient and safe drug distribution system; developing and implementing programs, policies and procedures; preparing and managing the department's budget; assuring the selection of quality pharmaceuticals; developing and managing a suitable system for purchasing pharmaceuticals; maintenance of appropriate records as required by legislation and hospital policies; developing a departmental human resources plan; ensuring regular performance appraisals are completed for all pharmacy staff; reviewing and revising
position descriptions; ensuring staff maintain current registration; ensuring pharmacist participation on multidisciplinary patient care teams, ensuring appropriate resources are available for the provision of drug information; planning and directing quality service and risk management activities within the department; planning and guiding drug utilization review activities; preparing appropriate reports on department's progress and needs. Developing and maintaining effective communication with other health care agencies. In addition, they are responsible for acknowledging the facility Mission Statement that highlights quality improvement, working in a safe manner in conformance with WHMIS regulations and must be knowledgeable of safe handling of hazardous materials.
Requirements:
· Successful completion of a Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited university
· Fully licensed, in good standing, by the Ontario College of Pharmacists
· Demonstrated ability to be motivated, self-directed and work as part of a team
· Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and clinical communication skills
· Minimum 2 years experience as a Hospital Pharmacist (preferred)
