The Department of Anesthesia is seeking either Royal College or GP anesthesia locums to help offset vacation time/CME time, etc.
A usual locum block is 5-7 days and includes a daily OR list with 3-4 on-call days (may include weekends if requested). We provide coverage for three to four operating rooms daily. Surgical specialties include General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology/Retina, OB-Gyne, and Urology.
Timmins and District Hospital is a 153 bed district hospital serving a local population of 41,000 and a catchment area of 110,000. Timmins is located in Northeastern Ontario and is a fully accredited referral and teaching hospital and offers a full range of Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Maternal/Child, Long Term Care and Mental Health services.
Applicants must hold Canadian citizenship and must hold or be eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as well as the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
