Looking for a new and exciting career opportunity?

The Prince County Hospital (PCH) in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, is currently seeking full time and locum emergency medicine physicians. The PCH, operated by Health PEI, is a regional hospital with 110-beds, a six bed ICU, and provides specialty services in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, ENT and Psychiatry.

The City of Summerside features the attractions and liveliness of modern city life, without the challenges and pace of a large urban center. Here, you’ll be greeted by a friendly community where shopping, restaurants, sports, and entertainment are often no more than a few minutes away.

Physicians interested in full-time emergency medicine positions at the Prince County Hospital may be eligible for an $80,000 return-in-service incentive (with a four-year full-time employment commitment) and moving expense reimbursements. At the PCH Emergency Department, physicians can be involved in medical education and take the lead in the management of trauma, STEMI, stroke, and code blue patients, in a well-organized and collegial environment.

Applying physicians must have CCFP (EM), FRCPC (EM), or CCFP with comparable emergency department experience. Applicants must also be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of PEI and be eligible for appointment to the Health PEI Medical Staff and appropriate privileging.
