Located 6.5 hours north of Toronto in beautiful Northeastern Ontario, Blanche River Health has two hospital sites located 35 minutes apart. There are opportunities to build your practice to fit your lifestyle and to create the work-life balance you envision. Members of our physician group have a variety of roles throughout the hospital and out in the community. Within the hospital there are shifts available in our emergency departments, intensive care unit and inpatient units. We are also affiliated with NOSM and the University of Toronto and host medical students and residents through the year. Opportunities are available in long term care and family practice. 

Community is eligible for a site visit funded by Ontario Health and the hospital will fund a second visit to be sure that you have the opportunity to explore the community before joining our team. We are here to support with transitioning to a new community and will help with spousal job search and any extra details that you may need assistance with. 

At Blanche River Health, the retention of our physicians is just as important as the recruitment. Retention packages are also available for our physicians who are in their 6th year plus.
