Looking for 1or more weeks of locum this summer (or throughout the year!).  

The Gore Bay Medical Centre is a small clinic with 3 full-time MDs.   The office is well-equipped and the staff are competent and very supportive.  We have venipuncture and part-time x-ray on-site.

Gore Bay is a rural community (2.5 hour drive from Sudbury ) of 600 people. Our clinic provides service to all the communities of the west end of Manitoulin (resident population 2500 with many seasonal visitors).  The office is open Monday to Friday 8:30-5:00.  We provide care at our local nursing home as well.   We do see minor emergencies, including lacerations.  The closest hospital is 35 minutes away.  No inpatients, ER or OB.   

We are fully computerized ( Practice Solutions).

Call is 1 in 2 but is very light and does not include weekends.  We manage calls from the nursing home as well as calls from the community.

You will earn $1042 per day plus approximately 9% of FFS received for shadow billing as well as 100% of 3rd party fees.  No overhead.  There is a stipend for travel and accommodation through the locum program.
