Thank you for your interest in working in Nunavut. We are looking for dedicated physicians who are interested in providing Nunavut with professional medical services in order to continue to promote an ongoing high standard of care to Nunavummiut in each of the territory’s 25 remote communities.
We currently have a number of available locum and permanent placements for physicians looking to serve the medical needs of the unique communities here. Working in Nunavut also offers a wealth of cultural and recreational experiences which will further enhance your time spent here.
FULL-TIME PHYSICIAN OPPORTUNITIES
The following are the specialities that we are currently looking to hire:
- Family practice physicians
- Family physicians with anesthesia specialization (plus-one year)
- Family physicians with emergency specialization (plus-one year)
- Pediatricians
LOCUM OPPORTUNITIES
We offer competitive daily rates, and are introducing a new commitment bonus for locum physicians who agree to provide Nunavut with ongoing clinical services on an extended basis. We are offering the following commitment bonus contracts as of April 1st, 2019:
Commitment Bonus Model 1
- Minimum of 75 service days in a period of 1 year.
- Commit all dates in advance*.
- 15 service days per locum.
- Upon completion of this annual contract you would then receive a $20,000.00 commitment bonus.
Commitment Bonus Model 2
- Minimum of 105 service days in a period of 1 year.
- Commit all dates in advance*.
- 15 service days per locum.
- Upon completion of this annual contract you would then receive a $30,000.00 commitment bonus.
*Dates will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis.
