Locum

The Department of Surgery at the Timmins and District Hospital is seeking occasional locum support for weekends and vacation coverage.

This is a 153-bed district hospital located in Northeastern Ontario serving a local population of 41,000 and a catchment area of 110,000. The Hospital offers a full range of Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Maternal/Child, Long Term Care, and Mental Health services and has excellent diagnostic imaging including quick access to CT and MR.

Applicants must hold Canadian citizenship and must hold or be eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as well as hold an independent practice license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).

Supported through the Northern Specialist Locum Program, through Health Force Ontario. Includes: HOCC on call stipend, flight, hotel, car rental expenses reimbursed as well as travel honorarium.
