The NBRHC Department of General & Family Practice has opportunities for family physicians to locum with the hospital's unattached inpatient hospitalist program.
About Us
The NBRHC hospitalist program operates with three physician led teams each week who are supported by physician assistants.
Hospitalists provide services for 1 week rotations Friday to Thursday (0700 hrs - 1700 hrs) with 1:3 overnight home call per week from 1700 hrs - 0700 hrs.
Locums are needed each month and locum dates are flexible.

NBRHC is a state-of-the-art regional center with a catchment area of 180,000 residents with strong inpatient and outpatient programs to support them. Circa 2011, this 433 bed facility has three primary roles: providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district referral center providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it’s the specialized mental health service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. Qualifications
CFPC Family Medicine Certification
CPSO Independent license to practice
Previous hospitalist experience would be an asset
Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (2 doses) is required
Remuneration
Clinical stipend of $4,000 per week plus OHIP fee-for-service billings
HFO funded locum travel and accommodation expenses as well as a daily $300 honourarium
