Seeking Locum Hospitalist for the week of December 20 - 27
Located in the picturesque Northern Ontario community of Kapuskasing, this is an excellent opportunity for hospitalists looking for a rewarding experience in a close-knit, supportive environment.
Why Sensenbrenner?
Team-Based Environment: We have an experienced medical staff, including 3 General Surgeons with C-section training, 2 GP/A's, 1 General Internist, OB family doctors and rural physicians.
Modern Facilities: Access to diagnostic imaging (including CT), lab, physiotherapy, respiratory therapy, and virtual critical care for seriously ill patients.
Comprehensive Support: Access to specialized services through partnerships with Timmins and District Hospital and Health Sciences North.
Teaching Opportunities: Affiliation with NOSM University provides excellent teaching experiences.
Duties:
On call from Friday to the following Friday for ward and Intensive Care Unit.
Option to assist in non-elective surgeries.
Cover the Continuing Care Unit during weekends and handle admissions during the day.
Patient census typically ranges from 20-30, with 10-20 admissions weekly.
Accommodations & Travel:
Fully furnished apartments available across the street from the hospital.
Travel and accommodations covered as per HFO NSLP guidelines.
