We are seeking a dedicated Orthopedics Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing comprehensive orthopedic patient care, supporting physicians and nurses in treatment and recovery processes. The Orthopedic Specialist will play a vital role in pain management, patient mobility, and overall orthopedic care, ensuring high-quality service for diverse patient populations including pediatrics and adults. Prior hospital experience and familiarity with electronic medical records are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient assessments, including measuring limb lengths, joint stability, and range of motion.
- Prepare and apply orthopedic devices such as casts, braces, and splints under supervision.
- Support physicians and nurses during procedures related to orthopedic treatments.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care, medication administration, and mobility exercises.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.
- Collect data for research purposes related to orthopedic treatments and outcomes.
- Monitor patients’ progress and report any complications or concerns promptly.
- Support home care initiatives by providing instructions for at-home orthopedic device management.
- Ensure compliance with clinic’s protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in orthopedics or related acute care settings preferred.
- Experience in pain management, patient care, and medication administration is desirable.
- Strong understanding of pediatric orthopedics and home care practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Certification as an Orthopedics Specialist is mandatory.
