An Exciting Career Opportunity at the Hugh Allen Clinic
The Hugh Allen Clinic is a dedicated group of family physicians offering a wide variety of care and access to support services in the community of Sioux Lookout and surrounding area. Sioux Lookout is situated between Thunder Bay and Winnipeg in the beautiful lake-filled Canadian Shield with a population of approximately 5500 people.
Our complement of 10 family physicians, with the support of 2 RPN’s and 5 full-time administrative support staff, provide comprehensive medical care to the Sioux Lookout community. Services provided include, Family Medicine Clinic, Emergency Department, Long-Term Care Hospitalist, Acute Hospitalist, OR assists, Obstetrics, Sport Medicine, Fracture Clinic and Anesthesia Services.
A typical monthly schedule at the Hugh Allen Clinic would include:
· 3-4 primary care clinics per week
· 1 weekend per month
· 1 emergency room shift per week (or more)
· One week of acute or long-term care hospitalist with 2—4-night call shifts
