The Queensway Carleton Hospital (QCH) is an acute care facility in west Ottawa. With a 355-bed hospital, the QCH services nearly 500,000 patient visits annually and is a teaching partnership with the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. QCH is nationally top-ranked by Newsweek, has been distinguished by NSQIP for outstanding quality in surgical patient care, and is ranked a top employer by Forbes.
Our hospital has excellent access to diagnostic imaging services, including CT, MRI, and extended hours for ultrasound, and excellent support within the Department of Medicine with sub-specialty consultation services, including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Hematology, Neurology, Respirology, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care. Our hospital also has a 12-bed ICU, a step-down unit, and a 24/7 rapid response team to care for the acute needs of all inpatients.
