2 – FT – Hospitalists - St. Joseph's General Hospital Elliot Lake (SJGHEL) is looking for two Hospitalists for our new Hospitalist Program!

Candidates must:
- Have (or be eligible for) Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification.
- Be (or eligible to be) licensed to practice as an Internist (or Family Physician) in the Province of Ontario.
- Have (or be eligible for) certification in ACLS or ATLS.
- Have (or be eligible to obtain) Canadian Medical Protective Associate (CMPA) coverage.
- Have excellent clinical skills.
- Have a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care.
Remuneration
Compensation is based on a combination of a weekly stipend of $10,000, Fee-for-Service getting 100% of the billings, and additional HOCC funding for on-call coverage.
About SJGHEL
Our hospital serves Elliot Lake and surrounding area and is comprised of a 55-bed acute medical/surgical program along with a 6-bed level 2 advanced intensive care unit (ICU). The ICU is an open unit where general surgeons, anaesthesiologist, and physicians have admitting privileges. The hospital has 24/7 lab and diagnostic imaging capabilities which includes a CT scanner to provide necessary diagnostic capabilities. At SJGHEL there is a multidisciplinary approach to care comprised of Nursing, Allied Health Professionals, and a Specialized Geriatric Inpatient Consult Team. The team provides a patient centred approach to care that focuses on interdisciplinary responsibility and accountability for positive patient outcomes.
