The Family Medicine Training Program at the University of Guyana, in Guyana, is looking for passionate clinician teachers who are willing to participate and contribute to the Academic Half-Day teaching for residents in training.

The program was developed in partnership with the University of Ottawa in 2014, and represents the first family medicine training program in the country. Over the last 5+ years, the program has progressively been transitioning leadership to the graduated Guyanese family physicians to direct and grow the program further - representing a capacity building success story. As the graduated faculty remains small, they continue to benefit from international partners to teach core topics including from the areas of pediatrics, geriatrics, emergency medicine, sport medicine, and psychiatry.

Support this innovative and exciting program that is dedicated to enhancing primary care services in Guyana!
